A place with history – reimagined for discerning guests
The Erlenbad Resort boasts a rich history dating back to the 15th century. Originally mentioned as the healing spring "Erlechbade" in 1431, the site developed over the centuries into a significant spa and bathing resort. In the early 20th century, the Franciscan Sisters of Erlenbad established their motherhouse here, which served as a monastery until 2022. Today, the Erlenbad Resort presents itself as a harmonious blend of historical charm and modern luxury, nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Black Forest.
The meticulous restoration of the historic buildings, including the impressive monastery church and the expansive monastery garden, preserves the cultural heritage while simultaneously creating space for contemporary comfort. Acquisition of Erlenbad by Mother Alexia Höll of the Franciscan Sisters, founding of the convent.

Discontinuation of Kneipp therapy and spa operations; conversion of the buildings for residential use.
