We are delighted to welcome you to our pre-opening. You are among the first guests to experience our new accommodation during the final construction phase – thank you sincerely for that. Please note that there may still be occasional restrictions. Some outdoor areas such as gardens or paths are not yet fully completed. Inside, there may occasionally be dust or visible traces of the final work in common corridors. During the day, there may also be craftsmen working or noise from other areas and outside. Of course, we strive to minimize any inconvenience for you – and we warmly thank you for your understanding and open-mindedness during this special phase.
Arrival
The Erlenbad Resort is located at the following address: Erlenbadstr. 75, 77880 Sasbach. On site, parking is located directly at the entrance in front of the monastery, on the left side. Loading and unloading in front of the building is easily possible. Extended parking directly in front of the entrances is not permitted.
Arrival by car
Getting to Erlenbad (Erlenbadstraße 75, 77880 Sasbach) is easy by car. Coming from Karlsruhe or Freiburg, follow the A5 and take the Achern exit (No. 53). From there, continue on the L87 towards Achern/Sasbach – Erlenbad is signposted in the village. Free parking is available on site.
Arrival by public transport
By public transport, you arrive via Achern train station, which is regularly served from Karlsruhe, Offenburg, and Freiburg. From the station, bus lines 7125 or 7131 take you to Sasbach (stop "Sasbach Kirche" or "Erlenbadstraße"). Alternatively, you can reach the accommodation in a few minutes by taxi.
Arrival by plane
For air travelers, several airports are available: Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB) is approximately 30 km away, Strasbourg Airport (SXB) approximately 35 km. Both are easily accessible by car or taxi. Stuttgart (approx. 115 km) and Frankfurt am Main (approx. 180 km) airports also offer good train connections via Karlsruhe to Achern.

Check-in is generally possible between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Please note that we do not have an on-site reception. You will receive all check-in information in advance by message.
Early Check-in
Our housekeeping team does their best every day to prepare all apartments on time and perfectly. Therefore, it is often not possible to offer early check-in. Thank you for your understanding.
For a fee of €10 per hour, we can arrange early check-in with our cleaning service. Please be sure to contact us to arrange check-in before 4:00 PM.
Key handover
To ensure your arrival is relaxed and stress-free, we offer contactless key handover. The key is located at the apartment door in a small black box, secured by a code.
The key box code will be sent to you in a separate message 1 day before arrival.
Apartment location
The apartment location is stated in the booking confirmation and in further messages. The entrance to use is also specified there.

House Rules
By making the booking, you have accepted the house rules – thank you.
The vacation apartments have been furnished with great care and high-quality materials. To ensure pleasant coexistence and respect the privacy of all residents, the following rules apply:

Parties or events of any kind are not permitted. However, registered events can be organized with our event team in designated spaces.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartments and stairwells. Violations will result in a cleaning and penalty fee of €250.

Any damages must be reported immediately.

Only the areas assigned to your vacation apartment may be used.

Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM must be observed in the vacation apartment areas.

From 10:00 PM, all doors must remain closed to avoid noise disturbances.
A respectful and friendly attitude towards other residents contributes to a pleasant atmosphere for everyone.
In case of non-compliance, we reserve the right to take appropriate measures and charge additional fees.
THE ACCOMMODATION
The rooms and suites at Kloster Erlenbad uniquely combine historic architecture with modern comfort. Within the former Benedictine monastery, you will find unique spaces with high ceilings, generous windows, and carefully preserved architectural elements – combined with contemporary amenities for a comfortable stay. Each room tells part of the building's history while offering all current comforts.
Apartment amenities
Dishes and cutlery, water and wine glasses, pots, pan and kitchen utensils, kettle and toaster, capsule coffee machine with capsules (free), refrigerator with freezer compartment, ceramic hob (with child lock – press and hold the lock to unlock), double bed with quality mattress, duvet, pillows and bed linen, hotel-quality sofa bed, built-in wardrobe with hangers, well-lit dining table, bathroom with natural shower and care products (shower gel, shampoo, hand soap), rain shower, toilet paper, heated towel rail and towels, hairdryer, Smart TV (streaming currently YouTube only) and free WiFi.
WiFi AND Internet usage
During your stay, you have free access to high-speed internet with sufficient bandwidth to watch movies in high quality or participate in professional meetings.
No password is required. Simply accept the terms and conditions.

Internet use in our accommodations is exclusively for guests' personal use. Any illegal activity, such as accessing illegal content, spreading viruses, or conducting criminal activities, is strictly prohibited. Visiting websites that violate the law or our house rules is also not permitted.
Please note that in case of suspected misuse of the internet connection, we reserve the right to take appropriate measures and, if necessary, trace traffic. We reserve the right to restrict access and pursue legal action in case of violations of these rules.
Waste and recycling
To protect our environment and make cleaning pleasant for everyone, please carefully sort your waste and dispose of it properly.
The waste room is located opposite entrance 75D and is marked "Erlenbad Suites."
Please sort your waste as follows:

Paper: newspapers, cardboard, paper packaging

Yellow bag: plastic packaging, cans, metal or composite packaging (e.g., Tetra Pak)
Important: Glass disposal is not possible on site and storing glass in the apartments is prohibited. Please dispose of glass bottles and jars yourself at designated collection points outside the property.
Television
Each apartment is equipped with a Smart TV that offers the ability to receive TV channels, listen to radio, and use internet streaming services. Please note that TV channel reception may be limited and we cannot guarantee the availability of specific channels.
COFFEE machine
Each apartment has a Nespresso coffee machine with a starter selection of capsules.
Additional capsules can be purchased at the reception or in local supermarkets.
Baby cribs and high chairs
Upon request, we are happy to provide a baby crib and high chair free of charge. Please note that we currently only provide the crib without additional mattress or bedding.
High chairs are currently available in limited quantities.
As these items are not provided in the apartment by default, please contact us in advance if you need them.

Important information about horses and ponies:
The stable and paddock must not be visited alone.
Please note that horses and ponies must not be fed or petted. Uncontrolled feeding can cause health problems such as colic, which can be fatal in severe cases. Ponies can also bite when being fed, so this rule is also important for safety reasons.
CLEANING AND LAUNDRY
The apartments are cleaned before and after each stay. Intermediate cleaning is not included by default but can be booked on request.
Laundry (currently unavailable)
Washing machines and dryers are available in the basement and can be used for a fee. A wash cycle costs €3, and the dryer also costs €3 per cycle.
Detergent is provided in each apartment; you can also bring your own.

CHECK-OUT
As we put a lot of effort into cleaning and perform an extended cleaning, we kindly ask you to vacate the apartment on departure day by 10:00 AM. This gives us enough time to prepare everything for the next guests.
Late Check-out
For a fee of €10 per hour, we can arrange late check-out up to 2 hours later with our cleaning service. Please be sure to contact us to arrange departure after 10:00 AM.
